Without a doubt, we are living through an unprecedented global situation. As we move through this challenging and uncertain time, I wanted to reach out to you to let you know I am thinking about you and wishing you all nothing but health and safety for yourselves and your loved ones.
I know most of you are working for, and even leading, organizations and important community mental health institutions. You are on the front lines of this crisis, helping those most in need through an anxious and vulnerable period. I am confident you are prepared to meet those challenges.
I want you to know that the entire TCSPP family stands with you. Your training has prepared you to lead compassionately and effectively. It has prepared you to understand and confront fear and anxiety and develop the solutions and interventions to help us all weather this storm.
Our students, staff and faculty are stepping up to the challenge in such a remarkable way! Because of our concern for the wellbeing of our university community, we seamlessly shifted to remote learning and have also released our staff to work remotely. It has been inspiring to experiencing the positivity and “can-do” attitude of The Chicago School, all of us working together to ensure the well-being and continuity in our students’ education paths.
Things are running smoothly, reflecting who we are as a University and as a “family.” We have felt your support during this transition and I thank you for it. In closing, as you work to fulfill your commitment to your institutions and to the community more broadly, I’d like to remind you to practice self-care. Take care of yourselves so you can continue to help others.
