You've Got This

You’ve got this

Welcome back students. We're here for you.

The TCSPP community is thrilled to usher in a new academic year. We have overcome many challenges presented by the pandemic but recognize that there are more ahead. TCSPP students are resilient. However,  we are living in difficult times and we know that from time to time it will be a struggle for some to find their footing. The Chicago School is here to support our students in every way we can.

Our campus deans offer advice and encouragement to their students as they continue their educational journeys in these turbulent times.

Dr. William Brown, Dean, Online Campus:
The Online Campus has been operating for over ten years, and as such, we are uniquely prepared to support our students in a remote environment during these challenging times. As always, our full suite of library, writing, academic, and general student support services are available remotely to all of our students and can be accessed via the TCSPP Community site or by contacting your student support counselor.

We are here to support you through your academic journey and wish you a Fall Term full of learning and growth.

Dr. Lance Garrison, Campus Dean, Dallas:
The pandemic’s widespread impact has been felt by all over the last several months. We know and are sensitive to how challenging this time has been for you. The faculty and support staff have been inspired by your courage and perseverance. We will continue to be here for you, to support you and your educational goals. Always know we believe in you!

We are hopeful for better days ahead and anxiously anticipate a time during which we can return to campus. While we have cherished remaining connected virtually and will continue to do so this Fall semester, we miss being on campus with you and cannot wait to be all together again!

Dr. Margie Martyn, Campus Dean, Chicago and New Orleans:
We are all leaders in this fight against COVID19. Students should take as much ownership of their own health and safety as possible. This includes wearing face coverings, washing hands often, using hand sanitizer and maintaining social distance.  I have been reading a lot about how students are following protocols on campus or at practicum or work settings, but then ignoring them when going out with friends or on the weekends. To stay healthy, our community has to follow the protocols all of the time to keep healthy.

If students have suggestions or tips for our colleagues, they should feel free to reach out to [email protected] and share it with our community. Together we will move forward.

Dr. Dorothy Collins, Campus Dean, Washington, D.C.
