The Chicago School and Bowie State University have signed an articulation agreement providing a new path to graduate school for Bowie State psychology students. The agreement enables active Bowie State students to take graduate-level courses at The Chicago School’s Washington, D.C., Campus while completing their bachelor’s degree.

Bowie State, located in Bowie, Maryland, is well-established as one of the nation’s oldest Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Leaders at both Bowie State and The Chicago School hope that the agreement will help open further educational pathways for Bowie State students.

“The agreement between Bowie State University and our institution is a significant milestone,” President Nealon says. “It will afford undergraduate students belonging to historically disenfranchised groups the opportunity to jump start their graduate school education and access careers in psychology and behavioral health.”
Eligible programs at The Chicago School include Applied Behavior Analysis, Forensic Psychology, and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Courses will count toward students’ Bowie State bachelor’s degree and their eventual graduate degree from The Chicago School. Students are also eligible for a one-time scholarship.
