Joshua Wyner, Ph.D., chair of the Marriage and Family Therapy Department at the Los Angeles Campus, and Ph.D. candidate Martine Soernskog join ADHD consultant Rene Brooks to discuss the long-term consequences of chronic under-diagnosis of ADHD in the Black community.

“Often when we think of someone with ADHD, a young white boy comes to mind, but the disorder is found across genders and races. For women, symptoms of ADHD can often be mistaken for something else, like anxiety or depression, making relief or management even more difficult.”
