Signing of Memorandum of Understanding cements new educational partnership<\/em>.<\/p>\n

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) (February 8, 2018)<\/strong> \u2013The Chicago School and Metropolitan School of Professional Studies at The Catholic University of America<\/a> (MSPS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to give more students access to graduate degrees in behavioral and mental health. The Chicago School<\/a> is a leading nonprofit, private university devoted exclusively to psychology, and related behavioral health sciences. The Metropolitan School of Professional Studies was established to help non-traditional, adult learners achieve their academic and professional goals within a framework of ethical leadership and service to their community.<\/p>\n

Through the partnership, active MSPS students who fulfill the admission requirements for the program to which they apply are guaranteed admission to The Chicago School, and are eligible for the Partner Preferred Tuition Rate \u2013 a 10% reduction toward annual program tuition.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pleased to partner with Catholic University\u2019s Metropolitan School to prepare the next generation of mental health professionals,\u201d said Heather Sheets, Psy.D., Campus Dean, Washington, D.C. Campus, The Chicago School. \u201cOur engaged practitioner model provides students with an education rooted in a commitment to innovation, service, and community, and strongly parallels MSPS\u2019s mission for its students.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis agreement expands the opportunities available to our students to develop careers focused on helping others,\u201d said Vincent Kiernan, Ph.D., Dean of the Metropolitan School of Professional Studies. \u201cIt also underscores the importance of supporting and expanding postsecondary opportunities for working-age students.\u201d<\/p>\n

Already in effect, the MOU allows current eligible MSPS students to enroll in any of The Chicago School\u2019s more than 20 mental health, behavioral health and health services programs at any of its campuses in Washington, D.C., Southern California, Chicago or Online.<\/p>\n
