(LOS ANGELES) (OCTOBER 27, 2016)<\/strong> \u2013 The Chicago School<\/a>, one of the leading nonprofit graduate universities devoted to psychology, and related behavioral and health sciences, and Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas<\/a> (UPC), have signed an Articulation Agreement (AA), providing students who are graduating with a bachelor\u2019s degree from UPC the opportunity to transfer up to one year of credit to The Chicago School\u2019s Online Master of Arts in Psychology Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cUPC and The Chicago School have been long time academic partners supporting comprehensive internationalization at each other\u2019s campuses. This AA builds on our MOU and provides UPC students with the opportunity to continue their education while engaging with professors and students in our Online Campus. Their presence in our classrooms will also help to diversify the conversation for our domestic students, \u201d said Emily Karem, vice president, Global Engagement and International Administration at The Community Solution Education System<\/a>, who initiated the relationship between The Chicago School and UPC.<\/p>\n

The M.A. in Psychology program is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the principles, theories, and applications of psychology, and graduates will be prepared for careers in several industries, particularly in the fields of human services, youth development, marketing, or public relations. Students can select a concentration from the following programs: Applied Behavior Analysis<\/a>, Child and Adolescent Psychology<\/a>, Organizational Leadership<\/a>, International Psychology<\/a> or Generalist<\/a>.<\/p>\n

UPC students are eligible for the International Student Grant<\/a>, which is awarded to international students for their academic excellence, their potential to add to the cultural and geographic diversity of the classroom, and their ability to represent the mission of The Chicago School globally upon graduation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very excited about the collaboration between our two schools,\u201d said Josilu Carbonel, director, International Office at UPC. \u201cThis Articulation Agreement is a great way to leverage our partnership to give our students the opportunity to earn a graduate degree from a top institution in the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n

To qualify, graduating UPC students must have a minimum G.P.A. average of 3.0, acceptable proof of English ability, and access to a computer. Students also will be subject to the admission requirements of the master\u2019s program.<\/p>\n
