Program has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1987.<\/em><\/p>\n

(CHICAGO) (MAY 02, 2017) \u2013<\/strong>The Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program<\/a> (Clinical Psy.D.) at The Chicago School\u2019s Chicago Campus<\/a> has been granted continued accreditation for seven years by the American Psychological Association<\/a> (APA), the only organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit doctoral-level health service psychology programs.<\/p>\n

APA accreditation is recognition that the program meets the rigorous standards set by the APA\u2019s Commission on Accreditation<\/a> (CoA), and that students receive training by adequately trained and numbered faculty within a program that is sequentially organized and well-resourced. The Chicago School is one of the leading nonprofit universities devoted to psychology, and related behavioral health services.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cAPA \u00a0accreditation is confirmation of the commitment our faculty and staff have to the education of our students and to the profession of psychology,\u201d said Chicago Campus Dean Tiffany Masson, Psy.D. \u201cMeeting the standards established by CoA speaks to the efficacy of the program, and means that our program offers students a comprehensive knowledge base that will equip them well for licensure and provide them with increased job opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chicago School\u2019s Chicago Campus was founded in 1979 and is the University\u2019s founding and largest campus. The Psy.D. Program first achieved APA accreditation in 1987.<\/p>\n

Department Chair Dr. Kim DellAngela<\/a>. \u201cAccreditation from the APA is the best endorsement a doctoral clinical psychology program can receive, and we are thrilled to have earned it for another seven years.<\/p>\n
