What are Behavioral Sciences?
Behavioral sciences encompass a broad field of study that investigates the interactions and behaviors of humans. This multidisciplinary approach combines elements from psychology, sociology, anthropology, and cognitive science to understand how individuals behave, make decisions, and interact in social and environmental contexts. By examining patterns, influences, and outcomes of behavior, behavioral scientists aim to provide insights into the underlying mechanisms that drive individual and group actions. Two prominent fields within the behavioral sciences are applied behavior analysis and criminology.
Applied behavior analysis uses data-driven, evidence-based methods for behavioral assessment and intervention, leading to effective, results-driven solutions across clinical, educational, and organizational settings. Criminology focuses on the critical analysis of crime, deviance, and justice systems with the aim of affecting positive changes in advocacy, reform, and investigation.
