Cynthia (Cindy) Scarlett, Ph.D. has enjoyed a twenty-five year career in higher education. She has worked for two large multi-campus higher education systems, in which she learned about university systems from multiple academic and administrative perspectives: undergraduate and graduate programs, prior learning assessment, adjunct faculty development, operations, human resources, and one of her favorite experiences--consulting with more than a dozen small private colleges to develop undergraduate degree completion programs.
In addition, Dr. Scarlett has developed curriculum for a broad array of organizational and business areas. Most recently she has served as an education consultant to create a Master of Arts in Leadership and Organizational Change program for a not-for-profit college in California.
Dr. Scarlett's life passion has always been centered within the world of education, as a teacher and a learner. Her dissertation research explored the learning and teaching of excellent adjunct faculty. Regarding her perspective on the intrinsic relationship of writing and thinking, she shares the words of William Faulkner, “I never know what I think about something until I read what I've written on it.”
