Vanessa Patton-Scott, Ed.D. is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) in the State of Maryland. She graduated with her Masters in Mental Health Counseling and received a certification in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Central Florida. In addition, she completed her doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision at Argosy University located in Atlanta, GA. She has over ten years of clinical experiences with providing crisis intervention and counseling services to adolescent, adults, and families with issues related to trauma, life transitions, substance abuse, bereavement, self-identity issues, and mood disorders. Research interest includes counselor wellness, spiritual competence, burnout prevention, clinical supervision, crisis-intervention, and mindfulness-based psychotherapy. Currently, Dr. Patton-Scott is the Director of Clinical Training for the Counselor Education, Forensic, and Counseling Psychology programs at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also serves as the president-elect for the Maryland Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (MAMFC).
