In 1979, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology was established with a simple purpose: to prepare psychology practitioners in a nonprofit setting. It is an idea that has since blossomed into a visionary approach, stretching the boundaries of psychology and behavioral health education. The single campus born in rented rooms at the YMCA 38 years ago has become a coast-to-coast enterprise with programs that reach around the globe. A solitary degree offering—a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology—has been reconceived as more than 25 degree options and a multitude of career paths with new ones entering the pipeline on a regular basis.
With 35 years of excellence in the field behind us, the time has arrived to take the next big step in our institution’s evolution. Our enduring belief that psychology is a vital part of life and well-being has evolved into a commitment to make this discipline integral to today’s approach to health care, and to develop a new model of preparing professionals with interdisciplinary understanding and expertise.Meet the Team Supporting our Strategic Plan
