Dr. Cynthia Langtiw talks with PBS about youth violence and social media

In the aftermath of a brutal attack in Chicago that was streamed on Facebook Live, Chicago PBS affiliate WTTW invited Dr. Cynthia Langtiw, associate department chair, Clinical Psy.D., to join a panel on public affairs show Chicago Tonight to discuss the varying effects of digital communication tools on young people. Associate Department Chair Dr. Cynthia Lubin Langtiw is a proud alumnus of The Chicago School’s Clinical Psy.D. Program, and also holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology, with a focus on community psychology, from the University of Illinois at Chicago; and a bachelor’s degree, with honors, in psychology from the University of Chicago. In addition to her work at The Chicago School, Dr. Langtiw also volunteers as a clinical supervisor with the Chicago-based Marjorie Kovler Center for Survivors of Torture. Read more.
