Dr. Zarse Discusses Violence Risk Factors

After the May 18 school shooting in Santa Fe, TX, TCSPP Forensic Psychologist Dr. Nancy Zarse interviewed with FOX 32’s Good Day Chicago and explained why it’s important to understand that there is a multitude of risk factors for violence, and why we should never try to parse out just one as a cause. She also discussed the importance of violence risk assessment training. Watch the interview.
Dr. Zarse earned her doctorate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and completed her internship at the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She served as Chief Psychologist at two federal prisons, and the Director of Inmate Administration at the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, the maximum-security military prison. Dr. Zarse is resource staff for the FBI Hostage Negotiation Certification Course and the FBI Interview & Interrogation Course, and has been selected twice as a Carnegie Scholar. Read more.
