Alan Whitehead

Dr. Whitehead focuses his efforts to increase the happiness and well-being of individuals within their daily experiences. His teaching, writing, consulting, and administrative efforts all support this mission. He brings a myriad of varied experiences to The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. His professional background prior to teaching consists of work as an insurance broker, higher education administrator, and organizational consultant. His research interests center around enhancing organizations leading to member satisfaction. More specifically he focuses his efforts in Positive Psychology, Humor Studies, Workplace Fun, and Job Satisfaction. He also works, researches, and consults on matters related to Leadership & Followership as well as Sport & Performance Psychology. He secretly believes that one secret to his success may be his collection of Star Trek (and other Sci-Fi) memorabilia.
