Biography

Dr. Alisa C. Title, Psy.D., is a Program Chair of Applied Clinical Psychology and an Assistant Professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has extensive experience in clinical training, student placement, counselor education, and program administration. Dr. Title earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the California School of Professional Psychology and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.

With over two decades of experience in mental health services, clinical training, and higher education, Dr. Title has held leadership positions in various academic institutions, including serving as the Systemwide Director of Clinical Training for the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling (MACC) program at Alliant International University. She has played a critical role in developing clinical training programs, implementing accreditation standards, and establishing partnerships with clinical field placements nationwide.

Dr. Title specializes in counselor education, working with children, youth, and families in underserved populations, and crisis intervention. She has also been actively involved in curriculum development, student mentorship, and the integration of digital tracking systems for clinical training. Her research interests include relationship dynamics, the impact of divorce on young adults and marriage, and couples and family systems methodologies. In addition to her administrative and teaching roles, she has worked extensively in community mental health, supervising clinicians and providing therapeutic services to diverse populations.

She has taught various courses, including Couples and Family Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Multicultural Counseling and Techniques, Sexuality and Sex Therapy, Clinical Interviewing, Lifespan Development, Counseling Emergency Responders, Team Leadership, Consultation, and Inter-Professional Collaboration, Human Sexuality, Community Psychology, and practicum and internship seminars and workshops.

Dr. Title is passionate about advancing counselor education and fostering the professional growth of emerging clinicians through innovative teaching, evidence-based practices, and advocacy for social justice in mental health.
