Biography
With many years of prior experience teaching graduate psychology courses in research and statistics and advising students on their dissertation research, Dr. Catherine Oleksiw joined the Business Psychology adjunct faculty when the Dallas campus opened in Fall 2018. In May 2020, she assumed the position of Chair of the Business Psychology Department which includes three programs: MA Industrial/Organizational Psychology, PhD Organizational Leadership and PhD Business Psychology - Consulting track.
Dr. Catherine Oleksiw is also a small business owner of Measured Transitions, a consulting and coaching business. She has applied her skills in the areas of education, workforce development, human services and health with extensive experience working with local, state and federal government; in education with school districts, community colleges and universities; and with nonprofits and major national foundations. Some of her projects were international in nature. She has facilitated training and provided technical assistance to leadership on team building, performance management, Return on Investment (ROI) analyses, strategic planning, program evaluation design and organizational development, all for the purpose of driving systems change and continuous improvement.
She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and was president of the ICF North Texas chapter in 2018, the year for which the chapter was first awarded an ICF Chapter Recognition Award for Excellence. She is a Certified Career Development Facilitator through the National Association of Career Development, an Affiliate with the ROI Institute and is certified in the EQi-2.0, an emotional intelligence assessment. She currently provides leadership coaching to federal employees in executive positions or seeking to transition to these leadership positions.
