Biography
Cory Clark is an Assistant Professor in the Counselor Education Department (Online) of TCSPP. He holds a PhD from North Carolina State University and he is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina (LCMHC). Cory completed a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and after graduating from UNC, Cory spent several years in Asia as a behavior therapy consultant, working with children with externalizing behavior issues and associated diagnoses, such as ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorders. After living abroad, Cory went on to earn his Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina State University. He finished his Counselor Education at North Carolina State University, with a dissertation study on developing a competency system for counseling children through the Delphi method. His research interests include child and adolescent counseling, child psychopathology, competency models and systems, online andragogy and mixed method designs.
Cory currently lives with his wonderful wife, two beautiful boys and three dogs in Apex, North Carolina. In his free time he enjoys runnings and training for races, hiking, improv comedy and going to the movies.
