Crystal Ishihara

Crystal Ishihara, PhD has worked with The Chicago School of Professional Psychology since 2009, initially as a part of the Registrar's Office and later as the Director of Academic Record Compliance with TCS Education System. As an alumna of the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program and the Business Psychology program, Dr. Ishihara was also part of the cohort that established ConCISE as an opportunity for students to get practical consulting experience while seeking their degree. Her training and education at TCSPP enabled her to become a consultant with a focus on higher education and leadership, a published author, and an adjunct professor within the Business Psychology department at TCSPP. After transitioning to work with Saybrook University (TCSPP's sister school), Dr. Ishihara established the Anti-Racism Collaboration, which focused both on education and practical projects that address issues concerning social justice. Through this, she had the privilege of working with the YWCA's Stand Against Racism (2022) and Until Justice Just Is (2023) social justice initiatives, supporting them through both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Dr. Ishihara serves as a Dissertation Chair for students who have a focus on topics related to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. She teaches courses such as training and development, leadership coaching, organizational behavior and consulting, personality and lifespan, and group facilitation. Recently, Dr. Ishihara earned a Master of Arts in Marriage Family Therapy and currently serves the community as an Associate MFT with the Orange County Asian Pacific Islander Community Alliance.
