Biography
David Sibley joined The Chicago School in the fall of 2018 and assumed the role of University Librarian in the spring of 2019. Prior to joining The Chicago School, he worked as a librarian at Dominican University and North Central College. David Sibley is interested in the democratization of information in all of its forms and ensuring that communities have the necessary twenty-first-century literacy skills needed to navigate complex information ecosystems. His research interests are focused on higher education, accreditation, and the role librarians, libraries, and information literacy play in supporting lifelong learning and knowledge needed to sustain democratic values in an increasingly complex information society.
