Esthelle Ewusi Boisvert

Dr. Esthelle Ewusi Boisvert (she/her) earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Southern California (2025), where she also completed her M.A. in Psychology (2020). She completed her internship at the University of Southern California's Counseling and Mental Health center, where she provided short-term therapy to college students. She then completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Southern California's Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity, where she provided psychoeducational assessments and supported students in accessing academic accommodations.

Across her clinical, research, and teaching work, she is committed to using psychology as a tool to advance equity and social justice. Her approach is grounded in the understanding that individuals' behaviors and presenting concerns are deeply shaped by broader socio-environmental contexts, which can differentially impact individuals based on systems of power and oppression.

Dr. Ewusi Boisvert's dissertation used a mixed-methods design to critically examine the psychological factors underlying support for punitive drug policies among White U.S. residents. Clinically, Dr. Ewusi Boisvert integrates Feminist Psychology with third-wave, evidence-based approaches (CBT, ACT, DBT) to address individual client needs while considering broader systemic issues. She is also an award-winning instructor dedicated to teaching and mentoring in ways that are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to diverse learners.
