Question and Answer
Please describe your teaching philosophy.

I believe that every student has the capacity to succeed with assistance and guidance when necessary. I also believe that students bring diverse skills, talents, and abilities to the classroom, and should be utilized and encouraged in order for students to participate in their learning process. Finally, I believe it is important to utilize diverse instructional techniques because students come with diverse learning styles.

Why did you choose to enter the field of psychology?

I originally wanted to become a lawyer, but so many people would seek advice from me until I soon realized that I was called to help people to go through their process of healing. I started my career in academia, and I found that helping students to realize their goal to become a therapist was equally rewarding.

What advice would you give to a student entering The Chicago School?

When you make the decision to enter The Chicago School, come in ready to learn and grow, because the small class size, engaged and committed faculty, diverse student body, attractive campus, and experienced to serve communities will provide the right environment for you to do just that.
