Biography
I have over 30 years of experience in the assessment and treatment of children with chronic illnesses, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and mental health conditions. I am currently Professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in the Clinical Psychology program and an Associate Clinical Professor (Volunteer) at the University of California, Irvine. I have several research activities and interests, including investigating the remediation of the socioemotional and cognitive effects of childhood cancer and neurodevelopmental disorders. I have served on medical staff at CHOC Children's Hospital where I was the clinical liaison to CHOC Children's Hyundai Cancer Center Neuro-Oncology program, and co-chair of the Physician Well-Being Committee. In addition, I maintain a private practice with offices in Long Beach and Newport Beach.
I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Bay Area, and completed a post-doctoral Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology. I completed her APA-Accredited Internship and post-doctoral fellowship at CHOC Children's Hospital, with additional post-doctoral training at the Neurobehavioral Clinic and Counseling Center in Mission Viejo, California. I am board-certified in Pediatric Neuropsychology with the American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology, and in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology, and am listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. I also serve as the Executive Director of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology and am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology, and member of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, and Children's Oncology Group.
