Biography
Dr. Guy Balice earned a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine in Psychology, and holds a Master's of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from UCLA, with Minors in Statistics and Clinical Psychology. Dr. Balice was a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the UCLA School of Medicine, where he focused on research in stress and functional bowel disorders. For the last 22 years, he has taught in Clinical, Counseling, and Educational Psychology, mainly in his specialty areas of advanced and multivariate statistics and research methods, and also taught elementary statistics with undergraduates for 5 years. Dr. Balice currently leads a research group studying issues related to domestic violence, stress, trauma, and anxiety disorders. He also has a passion for multicultural issues and diversity, as well as discussing, reading, and studying philosophical psychology. Dr. Balice is a licensed psychologist who has currently focused his clinical interests toward teaching and mentoring, where he supervises Psychological Assistants and MFT Interns/Trainees. He has worked as a psychotherapist with a variety of populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. He is a member of APA Division 5 Quantitative and Qualitative Methods, as well as Division 26 Society for the History of Psychology.
