Biography

Dr. Janina Kamm is an Assistant Professor and clinical neuropsychologist at The Chicago School. She completed her internship training with a specialization in neuropsychology through the Dallas VA Medical Center under the mentorship of Andrea Zartman, Ph.D. ABPP-CN, followed by a two-year clinical and research fellowship in the Benton Neuropsychology Laboratory at the University of Iowa under the mentorship of Daniel Tranel, Ph.D., ABPP-CN. Dr. Kamm is experienced in working with patients across the lifespan in a variety of healthcare settings, including VA medical centers, academic medical centers, and private practice environments. Her clinical expertise spans a range of assessment services, including pre- and post-surgical assessments for epilepsy surgery and other neurosurgical procedures, as well as evaluations for neurodegenerative diseases, traumatic brain injury, dementia, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Her research priorities center on clinically-relevant questions that inform practice or enhance patient outcomes in neuropsychological settings, including neurosurgical cognitive outcome prediction, performance validity assessment, and trauma-related psychological sequelae. In her academic role, Dr. Kamm serves as Faculty Course Lead for neuropsychological coursework and is dedicated to mentoring doctoral students interested in pursuing specialization in clinical neuropsychology.
