- Biography- I received my PsyD in Clinical Psychology in 1997. I worked for the Chicago Department of Public Health for ten years; first in community mental health, then in HIV/AIDS Primary Care. During that time, I supervised MA and PsyD therapy practicum students and interns. In 2009 I went to work for the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. I started out as an Assistant Professor and over time was promoted to Associate Professor. I was the Training Director for the Lake Michigan Internship Consortium and supervised many interns and worked with many different training sites. I opened the Argosy University Psychological Services Center and was the Director until Argosy University closed in 2019. In 2019 I transitioned to The Chicago School as program faculty for the PsyD department. For one year I was the Training Director for the APA-accredited TCS Community Internship Consortium. I have been in private practice for over ten years in Chicago and more recently in Sycamore, Illinois. In my private practice I see clients from the LGBTQ+ community, people with chronic health issues, substance abuse issues, parenting, and relationship issues. My research interests include diversity and cultural identity issues and how to bring more diverse clinicians into the field of clinical psychology.
