Biography

Dr. Williams earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She has over 17 years of clinical experience across college counseling, psychiatric, forensic, and private practice settings. Dr. Williams' area of expertise focuses on trauma stressor related disorders, ADHD, and health care disparities. Her orientation and training is in psychoanalytic-psychodynamic theory using a practitioner-scholar model. Dr. Williams joined the Clinical Psychology Department at The Chicago School, Washington, D.C. in 2022 as an adjunct professor to teach Family Systems and Psychodynamic Theory courses. In 2023, Dr. Williams became the Associate Director of Clinical Training. She's been recognized on public platforms such as PGCTV's Wake Up America and the Brooklyn Paper for her advocacy in social justice issues, professional presentations, and authorship.
