Kasey Bedard, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral. She has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2013. She started in the field as a behavior technician, implementing behavioral support plans for adults with developmental disabilities, to address problem behaviors and skill deficits. Since that time, she has worked in a variety of roles, including supervising aspiring behavior analysts, research, and developing her own company providing behavior analytic services and parent training to the families of children with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Dr. Bedard has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings, including residential, family home, community, and vocational settings.
Dr. Bedard has research experience in the areas of rare neurogenetic and developmental diagnoses such as Prader-Willi syndrome, psychotropic medications, telehelath, computer-based instruction, and parent training. She has experience obtaining grant funding for research projects and is passionate about the potential for grant funded projects to expand the availability of behavior-analytic services to new populations. Dr. Bedard has experience presenting at both regional and national conferences, both within the field of behavior analysis, as well as at conferences for Prader-Willi syndrome. She serves on committees to help set best-practice recommendations for PWS on an international level and is highly involved in the development of early-intervention programs and parent-training programs for this disability.
