Biography
Dr. Kate Green has been in higher education for a couple of decades and in pk-5 prior to that. She has served on more than 150 doctoral committees and teaches graduate and undergraduate courses across the areas of education and developmental psychology. She started with an associate degree in journalism (while in the US Air Force working as a journalist) and then went on for a BS in psychology from Regents College of New York, an MS in educational leadership from Troy State University (the Hawaii campus), and then a Ph.D. in Child Development from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She then worked on a postdoc at Harvard University while helping found a new university in the Middle East. Her primary research areas are in ECE and cross-cultural development and parenting. Global research and travel are very important but when not living out of a suitcase, she is at home in Florida. Her great joy are her five children and one grandson.
