Biography

Dr. Rönne joined The Chicago School in 1997 as adjunct faculty and joined the full-time clinical program faculty in 2001. Dr. Rönne earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Iowa in 1992 with an emphasis in clinical psychology. She completed post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology at Evanston Hospital, a training affiliate of Northwestern University, the same year. She obtained Certification in Animal Assisted Therapy in 2012. She has a private practice, New Leaf Psychology Services, specializing in assessment and therapy with adults. Dr. Ronne teaches in the areas of psychopathology, neuropsychology, personality assessment, and gender. She has published and presented nationally in the areas of neuropsychology, transgender health, and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. Her current research interests are in gender variance, animal assisted therapy and the benefits of animal companions.
