Biography

Dr. Barrow is a dedicated educator and researcher with a passion for advancing scientific knowledge. She earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where her dissertation focused on prostate cancer intervention using methylseleninic acid. Prior to her doctoral studies, she obtained her M.S. in Biotechnology and B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Barrow is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Golden Key Honor Society, Carischolar, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

With a strong commitment to student success, Dr. Barrow has taught both undergraduate and graduate-level courses. She believes in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, where students can develop critical thinking skills and a lifelong love of learning. When not in the classroom or laboratory, Dr. Barrow enjoys spending time with family and friends, participating in community service, and indulging in her love for the beach.
