Biography
Dr. Bridgman earned his doctorate from the APA accredited clinical psychology program at Rosemead Graduate School of Psychology at Biola University. A few years later in his career he completed a twelve month extramural fellowship at The Beck Institute where he learned CBT from Dr. Aaron T. Beck, Dr. Judith Beck and other Beck Institute staff. He is a Fellow in the Academy of Cognitive & Behavioral Therapies as well as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional.
In his clinical practice of over 30 years, Dr Bridgman has an extensive background in mood disorders, addiction and recovery issues, and has special expertise in working with recovery from compulsive sexual behaviors. His additional clinical specialties include depression and anxiety problems, relationship issues, executive coaching work, and personal growth work. He has served as adjunct faculty for over 25 years, teaching various graduate courses in psychology at numerous programs in Southern California. Additionally, Dr. Bridgman worked for 9 years at Integrated Behavioral Health, a specialty managed care company serving Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 employers and unions where he served as Director of Provider Services, Director of Employee Assistance Programming, Senior Account Representative, and Senior Care Manager. He is also a published author and provides a variety of professional training and public speaking services.
