Maureen Keeshin

Dr. Keeshin currently serves as Department Chair and Associate Professor in the Counseling Psychology Department - Chicago Campus. She obtained a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale in 2008 after completing her training at the Miami Veteran's Affairs Hospital as well as the University Counseling Center. Dr. Keeshin completed her internship at Regional Mental Health Center in Northwest Indiana and later accepted a staff psychologist position in 2008 providing individual and family therapy to adults and children, psychological assessment, as well as clinical supervision to pre-doctoral trainees. Additionally, Dr. Keeshin began teaching as an Adjunct Instructor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCS) in 2008 and accepted a full-time faculty position in the Master's in Clinical Psychology program in August 2010.

Dr. Keeshin continues to work as a full-time faculty member at TCS teaching courses and providing advisement to Master's level students. Furthermore, she continues to pursue her clinical interests such as supervision of pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students and providing psychological assessment and therapy services to the community. Dr. Keeshin utilizes both client-centered and Cognitive-Behavioral approaches in her clinical work. She values her role of advising students and is especially committed to community outreach, Service Learning projects, and initiatives aimed at reducing the stigma of mental illness. Dr. Keeshin also serves on the Board of Directors for the North Side Housing and Supportive Services non-profit agency serving homeless men in the city of Chicago.
