Biography

Dr. Mattos (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with experience assessing and treating individuals across the lifespan. She has a particular interest in assessing and treating children and adolescents and has focused much of her work on these populations. Dr. Mattos earned her Doctor of Psychology degree from the American School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University, Washington, DC. She completed her internship through the Mid-Atlantic Internship Consortium at Stafford Family Counseling (now Insight Psychological Services). She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Stafford Family Counseling. Dr. Mattos is a member of the National Register for Health Service Psychologists, from whom she was awarded a credentialing scholarship, and a member of the Maryland Psychological Association (MPA). She serves as the Chair for MPA's Early Career Psychologists committee and is a scholar in the inaugural cohort of MPA's Leadership Development Academy.

Dr. Mattos' clinical interests include psychological assessment, ethics, training, and supervision. Her post-licensure employment has included private practices and a specialized pediatric hospital. She created a training program at a private practice and served as the Training Director. Prior to joining TCSPP as the Associate Director of Clinical Training, Dr. Mattos taught Basic Interventions: Systems as an adjunct. She also taught Lifespan Development at the undergraduate level and guest lectured about child and adolescent psychopathology at the graduate level. Dr. Mattos is currently licensed in Maryland and Virginia.
