Biography
Dr. Michelle Hailey's academic journey reflects a diverse and enriching background that has shaped her into a dedicated educator and global business professional. Born at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, she was raised in Southern New Jersey. Dr. Hailey earned her bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising from Howard University in Washington, DC. She furthered her education with a master's degree in international business from Schiller International University, studying at the Paris, France campus.
Her academic pursuits culminated in a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where her research focused on African American Women Leaders Overcoming Barriers to Leadership. As an educator, global business professional, trainer, speaker, and published author, Dr. Hailey has showcased her commitment to women's empowerment through her role as a Global Consultant to a former member of the Kenyan National Assembly. As an Affiliate Research Faculty member and adjunct professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington, DC Campus, Dr. Hailey's teaching philosophy revolves around empowering, encouraging, inspiring, and supporting students. She is dedicated to fostering impactful learning experiences and guiding students on their educational, professional, and personal journeys toward extraordinary success in their respective fields and communities.
In addition to her classroom responsibilities, Dr. Hailey serves as a dissertation chair to multiple students, embodying her commitment to mentorship and personalized student support. Actively involved in various nonprofit organizations, she balances her academic pursuits with a passion for mentoring, reading, creative writing, Latin dancing, and exploring museums, theater, and music. Dr. Hailey's proficiency in French and her belief in teaching individuals to fish for a lifetime highlight her cross-cultural awareness and commitment to sustainable empowerment. Guided by her faith, she embraces the ethos of "each one, reach one, and teach one," contributing to developing the next generation of leaders with values, skills, and opportunities.
