Biography

I am thrilled to be teaching at The Chicago School - DC Campus!

I am a 2001 graduate of Argosy University in Washington DC with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I earned a master's in social work in 1993 from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Prior to retiring from the State of Maryland in March 2021, I was employed as a primary therapist and the Director of Internship Training at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (JLG-RICA) in Rockville Maryland.

I am very familiar with many sides of graduate psychology training - as a psychology graduate student, as an adjunct professor and as someone who has trained and reviewed hundreds of internship applications for students interested in psychological assessment and therapy with teens and their families.

Currently, I am a solo practitioner in private practice. I have been working with survivors of childhood trauma for over twenty years. I am a DBT trained therapist as well as a registered yoga teacher and certified yoga therapist. I find integrating aspects of mind-body medicine and traditional psychotherapies very beneficial to my clients.
