Omar Diaz

Omar earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School in 2023 and completed his postdoctoral fellowship with Sue Bae, Ph.D., & Associates. His earlier career in student affairs shaped his interest in training, competency development, and supervision, and those experiences continue to guide his work with students as they move from classroom to clinic.

Dr. Diaz has provided therapy to adolescents and adults in college counseling centers and private practice. He completed his internship at the University of Illinois Chicago Counseling Center, where he worked with individual clients, couples, and groups. His approach to clinical and training work reflects a deep commitment to social justice and to working with underserved populations. He pays close attention to how culture and larger systems influence not only people's struggles but also the strengths they bring into therapy and training.
