Biography

Dr. Saiz has been serving as a university faculty member since 2016. Dr. Saiz has served as a classroom instructor since 2001. He received his B.A. in English from UC Irvine, M.A. in Diplomacy: International Commerce from Norwich University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (2017). Dr. Saiz Specializes in research methodology, in particular, quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods designs. Saiz has served as an adjunct professor and research advisor at Vanguard University (Graduate in Industrial Organizational Psychology Program), Scripps College (psychology department), Cerritos College (psychology department), Saybrook University (Ph.D. in Counseling), Golden Gate University, and National University. Saiz currently serves as a full-time Professor, Director of Research, and IRB Co-Chair at Pacific Oaks College, in the EdD Early Childhood Education Program.

At The Chicago School Saiz has instructed graduate psychology courses in multiple departments (I/O, leadership, MFT, Applied Clinical, Clinical Forensic) at TCS. Saiz also currently serves as a dissertation chair and reader for students enrolled in multiple programs. Dr. Saiz's research interests include: Personality and leadership, Values and leadership, Cognitive Style and leadership, and personal growth or healing-centered topics, such as achieving one's best self through a focus on self-transcending qualities. Saiz's favorite theories include: Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Jung's personality, Eysenck personality, Hofstede: Cultural values, Schwartz Universal Human Values, Greenleaf: Servant Leadership, Senge: Systems Theory, Frankl's logotherapy, and Dr. Paul Wong's meaning based theories and interventions. Saiz also enjoys the outdoors, art, music, traveling abroad, and spending time with loved ones.
