Biography

Dr. Ocampo's graduate school training included working with the Latine community, including bilingual and monolingual Spanish speakers, providing psychological assessments for adolescents in the juvenile justice system, and working with adults from diverse backgrounds with various presenting concerns. She completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship in Springfield, Missouri, where she worked with a predominately rural population providing individual therapy and psychological assessments. She has also worked as part of multidisciplinary teams in community mental health, college counseling centers, and integrated behavioral health settings.

Dr. Ocampo is passionate about mentorship and professional development and has served as a mentor for graduate-level psychology students with the National Latinx Psychological Association (NLPA) for several years. In addition, she maintains a private practice specializing in psychological assessments and individual therapy for young adults and first-generation individuals (i.e., children of immigrants).
