Biography
Priscilla Anzaldúa has been an instructor at The Chicago School since 2020. She holds a Master's Degree from Loyola University Chicago in Clinical Social Work. As a first-generation college student and Latina, Ms. Anzaldúa centers her lived experience and multi-cultural practice in her approach as a therapist and instructor.
Ms. Anzaldua has extensive experience working as a psychotherapist in health care and nonprofit settings in Chicago for over 15 years, providing individual and group therapy in outpatient and inpatient community behavioral health settings, as well as integrated behavioral health. Additionally, she is passionate about mentorship and professional development and has served as a mentor with the Social Justice Leadership Academy and with CareerSpring, a platform for first-generation college students.
She also founded Prism Counseling, PLLC in 2019, a practice dedicated to treating adults affected by anxiety, depression, and life transitions using a person-centered and integrative approach.
As an instructor, she is passionate and committed to helping her students feel empowered through their clinical training journey and equipping them with the skills to be conscientious and engaged counselors in their professional careers and beyond.
