Biography

Dr. Sarah Long is an experienced health professions educator who blends clinical practice with a student-centered approach to teaching. Dr. Long previously served as the Director of the Health Sciences Undergraduate Program at The University of Toledo where she taught courses and mentored students across several pre-health professions pathways. Prior to her time as the Health Sciences Program Director, she directed the Professional Athletic Training Program at the University of Toledo.

A Certified Athletic Trainer by training, Dr. Long is passionate about interprofessional teamwork and person-centered healthcare. She brings a contemporary clinical perspective into the classroom and aspires to prepare the next generation of professionals with the knowledge and skills to provide high-quality healthcare to individuals and communities.

Dr. Long holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Toledo and earned a Master's Degree in Exercise Sciences with a concentration in Athletic Training from the University of Toledo. She resides in Toledo, OH with her family.
