Biography

Sarah Shelton, PsyD, MPH, MSCP is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (KY, IL, TN, IN, OH) and Mediator specializing in Integrated Behavioral Health and Forensic Psychology. In addition to a Doctorate in Psychology, she holds graduate degrees in Public Health, and Psychopharmacology as well as Graduate Certificates in Forensics and Mediation. She completed an internship at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, where she served as Chief Intern. She then completed two Postdoctoral Fellowships in Medical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Shelton owns a large multi-state multi-disciplinary forensic company. She has taught and teaches graduate courses at multiple universities in Psychology, Psychopharmacology, Public Health, and Criminology programs. She also oversees a multi-site Integrated Behavioral Health Program in Louisville, Kentucky targeting underserved minority populations. She is President of the International Association of Correctional and Forensic Psychology (IACFP). She is past President & Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists; former Director of Continuing Education for Division 55 (American Society for the Advancement of Pharmacotherapy) of the American Psychological Association and has also held appointed positions within Division 41 (American Psychology-Law Society); and former President of the Kentucky Psychological Association (KPA). Dr. Shelton serves as a Board-Approved Supervisor, Oral Examiner, and Investigator for the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology.
