Biography
Dr. Shaina Hall-Jones is the Associate Director of Clinical Training at The Chicago School's Washington, D.C. Campus, where she supports doctoral clinical training, teaches future psychologists, and contributes to program leadership. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and completed her APA-accredited doctoral internship at the University of Southern California. Her clinical, teaching, and leadership interests center on developing competent, ethical, and culturally responsive psychologists through high-quality supervision, mentorship, and professional training.
Dr. Hall-Jones's research and scholarship focus on stress, resilience, burnout, and health equity, with particular attention to race-related stress and culturally informed approaches to well-being among Black communities. Her work has spanned university counseling centers, integrated behavioral health settings, and community partnerships, and has included grant-funded initiatives, interdisciplinary educational programming, and trainee supervision. As an educator and mentor, she is passionate about creating engaging, experiential learning environments that challenge students to think critically, develop strong clinical judgment, and grow into reflective, culturally humble psychologists committed to social justice.
