Biography
Dr. Shanon R. Harmon is a Senior Adjunct Faculty member at The Chicago School, where he has been imparting knowledge since 2014 in the IO/Business Psychology, Organizational Leadership, and Behavioral Economics Department. With over 18 years of experience, Dr. Harmon has been a catalyst for operational excellence across higher education, non-profit, and corporate sectors. He has launched leading-edge programs aimed at enhancing employee engagement and driving sustainable business practices, including the Values Ambassador Program, Environmental Culture Transformation, Enterprise Change Management, Enterprise Leadership Model, and Competency Model.
As a Senior Advisor of Operational Excellence, Dr. Harmon spearheads initiatives in organizational change management, communication strategy, culture transformation, and organizational design. His professional journey is dedicated to enhancing organizational capabilities and performance. Dr. Harmon brings a wealth of experience in advising both internal and external clients on strategic initiatives, leading teams to achieve their goals, and educating students and professionals to elevate their skills. He is passionate about facilitating personal and professional development, with an approach deeply rooted in data-driven decision-making.
Driven by the belief that organizational success is intricately tied to the well-being and development of its people, Dr. Harmon remains dedicated to creating workplaces that thrive on collaboration, resilience, and purpose. Previously, he has excelled in roles such as Business Readiness Senior Advisor, Organizational Development Consultant, Selection & Assessment Consultant, and Clinical Therapist. He is a sought-after professional speaker, educator, consultant, and a certified professional coach with the International Coaching Federation.
His expertise spans organizational development, change management, leadership and team effectiveness, strategic HR project management, organizational culture and climate, training design and facilitation, competency modeling, high potential selection and program development, talent and succession planning, performance management, 360 feedback, talent and assessment strategy, career planning, executive selection, test design and validation, and talent and people analytics.
Dr. Harmon has been recognized for his exceptional contributions and leadership, including being named Adjunct Professor of the Year at TCSPP SoCal Campuses in May 2023 and receiving the Jack K. Horton Humanitarian Award in March 2020 for acts of exceptional courage and resourcefulness. He is also a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and a member of prestigious honor societies such as the Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society, Alpha Epsilon Lambda, Psi Chi, Pi Gamma Mu, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Beta Beta Beta.
