Biography

Dr. Bae is interested in cross-cultural psychology, multicultural counseling, supervision and mentoring, and culturally responsive cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Bae has been working with diverse populations including children, adolescents, and adults in residential, outpatient, and community mental health settings. In addition to being a clinician, she has worked as a diversity consultant for various organizations. Her most recent clinical involvement has been with her private practice where she specializes in treating anxiety related disorders using CBT/ERP. She is a graduate of the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) and an active member of the International OCD Foundation and OCD Midwest. Dr. Bae is also a SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) provider. In addition, she has been the co-chair of the Division of Women of the Asian American Psychological Association. She is also the founder of the Division of Women Midwest Chapter. She has been a Clinical Fellow of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) and the Research Liaison for the Midwestern Psychological Association. Dr. Bae has also been the Chair of the Clinical Practice Section of the Illinois Psychological Association. Currently, Dr. Bae is the President of the Illinois Psychological Association.
