Biography

Dr. Tracy Hunt is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, and experienced clinical administrator dedicated to supporting mental and emotional wellness across diverse communities. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Online Program at The Chicago School. She has been practicing therapy for over 10 years and brings a rich background of clinical and administrative experience to her teaching and supervision. Her leadership has included serving as the Outpatient Director of a nonprofit community mental health clinic in Baltimore, Maryland, and as an Assertive Community Treatment Program Director, where she oversaw clinical operations, program development, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work spans outpatient mental health, residential services, mentorship and training of emerging clinicians, and private practice settings.

Dr. Hunt believes in the power of growth and transformation. She creates spaces where students, clients, and staff feel seen, supported, and inspired to evolve personally and professionally. Her work is grounded in authenticity, empathy, and a deep commitment to helping others become the fullest version of themselves. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes multicultural competence, student-centered learning, and ethical, trauma-informed care. Her professional interests include counselor identity development, trauma and equity in mental health care, clinical supervision, and leadership in community-based behavioral health.
