Biography
Dr. Schiff earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology, Child and Family Track from the University of Miami. She completed her pre-doctoral internship in Pediatric Psychology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and her post-doctoral fellowship with the National Institute of Mental Health at Children's National Medical Center. Dr. Schiff served on the clinical faculty at Children's and the George Washington University School of Medicine working in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings. She subsequently served on the faculty of the American School of Professional Psychology of Argosy University for over 19 years. Dr. Schiff joined the faculty of the Clinical Psychology department at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington DC campus in 2019. She has taught courses in family and couples therapy, play therapy, pediatric psychology, lifespan development, child and adolescent psychopathology, and history and systems of psychology. In 2022, Dr. Schiff became the Chair of the Clinical Psychology department. She has authored articles, book chapters, and presentations on such topics as family therapy with diverse patient populations, child and family coping with chronic illness, pain management, emotional and behavioral disorders, and graduate student success.
