Biography

Dr. Annette Griffith is a Full Professor in the Online Behavior Analysis Department, where she also serves as the Program Chair for the PhD in Behavior Analysis program. She received her master's degree in psychology and behavior analysis from the University of Nevada-Reno and her PhD in educational studies, with a minor in quantitative and qualitative psychometric measurement, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (Doctoral level) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Missouri.

Dr. Griffith has over 20 years experience in the field of behavior analysis. She has experience teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and has worked a clinician, researcher, and state administrator. Dr. Griffith has worked with children, youth, and adults in various home, school, and community settings. She has also worked to implement behavioral interventions in large mental health organizations. Dr. Griffith has been with The Chicago School for over seven years, and has received awards for Excellence in Teaching, Instructional Innovation, and Distinguished Research and Scholarship. She is also a faculty inductee for the Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society.

Dr. Griffith has published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at both regional and national conferences. Her work has focused on topics related to behavior, mental health, disability, and special education, amoung others. She is particularly interested in nontraditional research methods. Her research interests include topics related to parent training and support, the use and management of psychotropic medications, mental health, health-related training, and program evaluation.
