Los Angeles APA accreditation
The Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association (APA) has awarded accreditation to The Chicago School’s Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology program at our Los Angeles Campus. Noting their appreciation in The Chicago School’s commitment “to develop and maintain the best possible quality of graduate education and training in psychology,” the APA has determined that The Chicago School’s Psy.D. program aligns with their strict standards and fosters excellence in postsecondary education. The APA further noted that “the program demonstrates respect for and understanding of individual and cultural diversity via its actions and policies.

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology’s Los Angeles campus is located in the city’s downtown business district, in the historic “617 building,” with its incredible barrel ceilings and gleaming brass elevators—that open into our ultra-contemporary campus with exposed ductwork, concrete floors, dramatic lighting, and state-of-the-art technology. The campus is just steps from the metro train station and public parking, and a short drive from the 110, 101, 5, and 10 freeways.

Help provide solutions for families, local businesses, and organizations
In addition to meeting the state licensure requirements of California, our licensure programs are structured to help students gain knowledge and experience by providing services through our counseling centers, on-site consulting firm, or forensic center located in our local community.
Under the mentorship of licensed clinical staff, intern therapists at The Chicago School Counseling Centers provide services to clients and families struggling with a wide range of issues.
- ConCISE is our student-run consulting firm where we provide a variety of services to local businesses and nonprofit organizations. Located on-site at the Los Angeles Campus, students gain practical learning experience by applying the theories that they’ve learned in the classroom in real-world situations.
- Through partnerships with agencies and organizations throughout the Los Angeles area, the Forensic Training Institute provides students opportunities to train law enforcement personnel, government staff, and representatives of nonprofit organizations in areas ranging from gang intervention to recognition of mental illness.
