Through your experience in the online B.S. Business Psychology program, you will learn professional practices and behaviors to address complex workplace problems. By applying business and human resources management principles, you will be able to make ethical decisions in the application of psychological principles to workforce initiatives.

Graduates of the online Business Psychology bachelor's program will use their education in various settings through the program’s three distinctive tracks:

  • Industrial/Organizational Psychology
  • Organizational Leadership
  • Behavioral Economics

In your final year, you will earn 15 credits in master’s level program coursework of your chosen track, which counts as a graduate certificate as well as progress in the related master’s program, should you choose to continue your education at The Chicago School.

Faculty in the business psychology programs are practitioners who have current work experience as well as being scholars and teachers.

Admission Requirements

  • Application fee ($50)
  • Applicants must provide proof of the qualifying conferral—high school graduation (or the equivalent) or proof of an earned associate degree. Information about acceptable proof of qualifying conferral can be found here.

Applicants with a cumulative high-school or undergraduate GPA below 2.3 and applicants seeking admission with high school equivalency documentation that does not show a GPA (such as GED, home school, or testing) are required to submit additional documentation:

  • Curriculum vitae/ resume
  • One letter of recommendation
  • Essay of intent
  • SAT/ACT scores are not required for admission, however applicants who have taken the SAT/ACT may submit their scores to enhance their application.

Sample Courses

Fundamentals of Psychology

Introduction to Psychology engages students in a detailed overview of the history and current scientific issues involving the behavioral sciences. Students will encounter a considerable body of information about the principles, methodologies, and terminology of psychology. This course is designed for students who intend to major in psychology and is designed as a foundation for future concentration courses in psychology.

Philosophical Grounding in Ethics

This course is an examination of ethics in psychology, and will include such topics as ethical decision making, maintaining confidentiality, the process of informed consent, the role of technology and ethics, and analyzing ethical issues that may arise when working with clients from different cultural backgrounds, clients with disabilities, older adults, and clients at risk of harming others and themselves. The course will include an in-depth examination of emerging ethical issues, enabling students to advance beyond their basic awareness and knowledge of the professional code of ethics.

Principles of Business Operations

This course provides students with a broad foundation in how a business works. From corporate structures and managing resources to basic accounting principles and supply chain management, this class will ensure students learn the importance of cash flow management and capital expenditures and be able to identify the difference. Students will learn about the various parts of a business and how they work together to create a whole.
