Virtual Clinical Training Center (VCTC)
A Telehealth Training Clinic for Counseling Students

Why Telehealth Training Matters
More than half of the U.S. population lives in an area without enough mental health professionals to meet community needs, according to a December 2023 HRSA report. The VCTC reflects The Chicago School’s long-standing commitment to filling the gap, preparing you to use telehealth counseling to reach clients in communities where mental health support may be harder to find, increasing healthcare equity and access to competent and qualified care.
Telehealth can also create opportunities to serve clients across state lines. Once licensed, you may be eligible to expand your counseling practice into participating Counseling Compact states, creating more opportunities to serve clients through virtual care.
